In the last couple of years I have started painting contemporary abstract portraits. I love painting portraits, my focal point being the eyes as they are the key to the soul and can tell many a story.

I start out with a blank canvas and slowly stroke by stroke bring the canvas alive always hoping to show a certain type of character in the piece. I often feel a hint of sadness seeing the painting leave the studio but am happy knowing it’s going to a good home.
